After a devastating EF5 tornado destroyed St. John’s Regional Medical Center in May 2011, TKH was asked to assist Mercy in organizing a temporary tent hospital.  TKH’s role was also to plan the location and set-up of portable facilities, trailers and associated tent structures.  Also included was the planning of temporary medical office space for physicians throughout the city of Joplin. The emergency response site was constructed on an existing employee parking lot.  TKH served as interim site project manager and planner for this project.
