TKH provided programming, planning and schematic design services for OSF-Saint Francis Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) in developing a 7-story, 440,000 square foot addition to the Gerlach Building on the Peoria Campus.  OSF-Saint Francis Medical Center/CHOI is a 731 bed (536 operational) facility and a regional tertiary care hospital.

The “Milestone Project” included creation of a new 55 room Emergency Department, Non-Invasive Cardiology Testing adjacent Nuclear Medicine, the merging of Vascular and Cardiac Cath services into a 13 room suite, replacement of a 24 OR Surgical Suite, and 32 adult Cardiac beds.

As part of CHOI, the new facility incorporated 60 NICU beds, 32 general Ped beds, 32 PICU beds, and relocation of the St. Jude Children’s Clinic Program.
