TKH was engaged by Mercy to provide planning services for the new David M. Sindelar Cancer Center located on the Mercy South Main Campus.  Planning services included facilitating leadership, steering committee and user group meetings to define overall program elements, space need requirements and preliminary concept / schematic plans for a 2-story, 78,000 sf freestanding building. 

The facility will provide comprehensive cancer care for the diagnosis and treatment of all cancers, including high-tech diagnostic and treatment capabilities, alternative therapies, access to radiation, surgical and radiation oncologists along with a new Breast Center program.

In addition to the Multispecialty Cancer Team dedicated to providing coordinated and comprehensive care, additional Cancer Support Services are provided including Social Work Services, Nutritional Counseling, Oncology Navigators, Pastoral Care Services and Family Resource Center.

The Outpatient Infusion Center at Mercy Hospital South is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxed setting for patients to receive infusion services.  The Infusion area is strategically located within the building to take advantage of views to planted and wooded areas as well as providing a mix of both private and open infusion chair spaces.

Project is anticipated to be completed spring of 2020.
