TKH was engaged by Mercy Hospital Springfield to assist in volume projection modeling, programming and block planning for a new Heart & Vascular Hospital including an ED expansion.  Services included non-invasive cardiology, cardio-vascular surgery (all cardiology and vascular services will be consolidated into one convenient location), bronchoscopy, women’s heart health, cardiac, vascular and pulmonary clinics, and related cardiac support.  CVICU, CCU and cardiology beds will remain within the main hospital, but are directly adjacent.  Surgery and Cath rooms will include hybrid technology.  In addition, the Emergency Department is being renovated and is expanding into a portion of the First Floor.
