Encompassing approximately 6,800 square feet, Mercy’s Birthing Center is the area’s first in-hospital low-risk birthing facility managed by certified nurse midwives. The center is conveniently located on the Hospital’s First Floor near the Main Lobby entrance and adjacent dedicated parking to facilitate easy access for patients. Four birthing suites, designed to resemble a bed room in your own home, are provided to offer women a home-like birthing experience. Each room is provided with queen sized beds, showers and large tubs for labor. Additional components within the Birthing Center include a large central living area for family members, kitchen, space for childbirth classes and education and separate clinical space for midwife visits.
